A Reaction on Max Schulman's "Love is a Fallacy"

Why is it entitled "Love is a Fallacy"? What really does it mean? I mean what really it implies?

Does it mean that love isn't true?

I read this story and I was really touched. I just imagine that it really hurts. It hurts on the part of the guy. He fall in love with a girl but the girl wants the other guy. Actually it is a love triangle. A love triangle isn't easy for the girl's part especially she don't wants the guys to get hurt. It also hurts for the guy who is denied by the girl. It is really hard being in the love triangle. If the girl doesn't want you, you would do anything just to make the girl love you but some do surrender in order the girl to be happy with the guy he likes. There are two endings in a love tringle, the other guy will be sad and the other guy will be happy. But the sad guy won't feel sad anymore if he sees the girl happy with the guy he likes.

Why do you sacrifies when you really love a person? Even if you are always hurt or you are always down, you feel you are happy because you did sacrifies just because you loved the person. As what I have say, Sacrifices would pay and patience let you wait when will it pay. I believe that there is always a rainbow after a storm.

Let's go back to the story. The story ended with the guy hurt just becuase the girl loved another guy. It so sad for the part of the guy. He did everything just to make the girl fall in love with him but the girl choose another guy and it was his roommate. Ouch! That really hurts! Love really is because of destiny. You can't acquire love if you two are not destined. It's really rare if you change destiny. Oh! I feel sleepy now. Thanks for reading!

Love is a Fallacy by Max Schulman

I was logical, keen and cool.Cool was I and logical. Keen, calculating, perspicacious, acute, and astute—I was all of these. My brain was as powerful as a dynamo, as precise as a chemist's scales, as penetrating as a scalpel.

It is not often that one so young has such a giant intellect.I had a roommate at the university. His name was Petey Bellows. He is a nice fellow but dumb as an ok. He's unstable, emotional and impressionable.

One afternoon I found Petey lying on his bed with an expression of such distress on his face that I immediately diagnosed appendicitis.Then Petey made interruptions of what I am saying. He was saying to me that all of the big men in our campus are wearing them so,Petey must be jealous of these men wearing raccoon coats. But because of his impatient interruption, it really makes me say that he would do anything just for a raccoon coat and he really badly wants it.

My father had had one in his undergraduate days and it lay now in a trunk in the attic back home. It also happened that Petey had something I wanted.

I was a freshman in law school. My desire for this young woman was not emotional in nature. Beautiful, gracious, with manners she was! But what bothers me is that she is not intelligent. But I taught of making her my perfect wife through my learning.

I returned to the campus the next Monday morning bringing the raccoon coat of my father. Petey was so happy to see the raccoon coat. I told him that I would only give him the raccoon coat if he allows Polly and me to go on a date. Few minutes later, he told me that it was a deal. He agreed on what would happen if he accepts the coat.

I had my first date with Polly the following evening.I wanted to find out just how much work I had to do to get her mind up to the standard I required. We had a dinner, watched a movie and brought her back home.

And after a few days, we had our next date. She wanted me to talk more on of the logic but it was already late in the evening when i got to check my watch. I had to bring her back to the girl’s dormitory. Then I went to my room and I saw Petey lying on the bed hugging his raccon coat.

On our next dates, I think that Polly is really the one for me. I want her to be my wife. She really made me impress about the fallace we discussed.Then the time came and I told her that I fell in love with her but she told me that was all a fallacy. She told me she will go with Petey and not with me. I really shouted because of anger and disappointment. I asked her that why did she choose Petey. I asked her for a logical reason. I really asked her why and then she told me it is because of Petey who had a raccoon coat.

Patience

Have you ever tried being teased by people older than you? Or even people who are younger than you? It is so unpleasant to here that, isn't it? They'll say it is true when you are angry to them. My advice to you, just ignore them. They'll be tired teasing you if you will not response. So people will stop teasing you anymore. Patience is all we need in overcoming obstacles. Patience is also we need to endure all those teases. With patience, you can control yourself from being tempted. You can wait for things to come to you. With patience you can also avoid fights. That's why patience is really very important.

If being fought by a group of people or maybe your friends, don't ever try to revenge on them. Let God judge them. Though it hurts but you must accept it. Even if you are hurt, you can still recover. It is really hard that some people hates you. It also hurts when people disregard you. But I believe, accepting those words and those trials makes you a better person. God pays all your sacrifices. Just sacrifice the things that are needed to be sacrificed but don't worry, a new thing will replace it. Just don't lose hope. Have faith in God. Be patient and it will come to you soon. Things you need will just come. Say thank you to God for what He had done to you. These things will help making you a better person.

As what I have done, All my faults and all my mistakes makes me a wrong person. But I believe that these faults will still be corrected. It's not too late to change. I know I still have a chance to make it right. I am also patient to everything. I encountered a fight but I withdrawed. I don't want to have an enemy. It does not mean that I'm weak or I'm a loser. All it means is that I am very friendly. Sometimes my friends make fun of me but what I do, I join them laugh. That's why I have many friends including girls. Sometimes I also hurt people by teasing them and I felt so sorry about it. I know that their anger won't last a day. They can't resist me to be forgiven. It's just like me, my anger won't last a day. After tomorrow, I speak to the person I'm angry with. That's how good I am.

Remember To Have Patience. Forgive the people who have sinned you just like what Jesus did to all of us. Have a nice day. Don't plant anger in your heart, your heart won't grow.=)

Rok On ! ! !

Another online game i play is Ragnarok. This game was the first online game I played. I learned this game through the help of my cousin. I use to pilot his account overnight. I often replace him from playing the game if he is tired. Being a pilot is fun but I feel different about it. So I made my own account and started playing it with my friends. The first time I played my account was when I was in grade six. I use to party with my friends.

Ragnarok is also fun. It's just like other online games. You need to level up to strengthen your character. My first character was a swordsman, but later on I made a priest. A priest heals and supports other players. Priest do not just support. They also battle the undead and the demons. It's really fun to have a priest especially when you are very friendly.

Ragnarok has many episodes that expands the game. Every episode, there's new maps, new monsters, new items, and even new characters. All in all there are 14 episodes. In addition, there are 9 first jobs namely Archer, Swordsman, Magician, Acolyte, Thief, Merchant, Taekwon Kid, Gunslinger and the Ninja. But before all these jobs you must start with a Novice and after attaining job level 10, you may now proceed to the job you want. Also, after attaining job 40 or higher with any of these first jobs, you can now change to a higher class or the second job. Base level has a maximum of 99 and the job level has a maximum of 50.

  Archers uses bows and arrows and damages their enemies at long ranges. You can change a job as a Hunter, a Bard(if your character is male), a Dancer(if your character is female). Hunters continue using bows while a Bard uses a musical instrument and a Dancer uses whips.

  Swordsman uses spears and swords and they usually serves as the tanker of the party. You can change a job either a Knight or a Crusader. Knight usually uses Spears and Two-handed swords while a Crusader uses a sword and a shield.

  Magician usually usa wands and damages their opponent by using magic and spells. You can change a job either a Wizard or a Sage. Wizards uses wands and specializes their use of magic to infict great damage to the opponent. Sage uses usually use books and serves as the magic blocker among party members.

  Acolyte uses maces and serves as a support to other party members. You can change a job into a Priest or a Monk. Priests support other classes by using their special buff to increase the damage and the defence. Monks use fists and damage their enemy at a close range.

  Thief uses daggers and serves as the backstabber of the party. They can hide and snitch an item from a monster. You can change a job into a Rouge or an Assassin. Rouge usually uses daggers and snitch zenny or an item from a monster. Assassins are deadly and cunning. They usually use katars and enchants their weapon with poison dealing great damage to their opponent.

  Merchant usually uses axes and serves as the money maker of this game. They have a skill that lower prices of items. They also have a skill that overcharges the item to get a higher price. Merchant classes are the only class allowed to vend or sell items. You can change a job either a Blacksmith or an Alchemist.Blacksmith forges weapon and enchants it with elements. Alchemists create potion that has more recovery points than ordinary potions.

  Taekwon Kid do not nessesarily use weapons. They have the talent of kicking and also they are fast. You can change a job either a Star Gladiator or a Soul Linker. Star Gladiator has specialized skills that uses the sun, moon and the stars' power to damage their enemies. Soul Linker uses their buff skills that strengthen other second jobs. Soul Linkers can also fight using their magic powers.

  Gunlsinger uses pistols, rifles, launchers and even gatling guns. They do not change their job but has a maximum job level of 70. Just like archers, they damage their opponent at long ranges.

  Ninja uses Shurikens, Kunai, and elemental stones. They fire their shurikens and kunais at long ranges. They also damage their enemy by magical spells by using elemental stones. Ninja also have specialize barriers that prevents the enemy from damaging them.

Computer Games (Having Fun or What)

What are games for? Games are for fun, right? Now, have you ever played games in the computer? Did you have fun? Oh yeah! It is really fun playing them!

I tried playing games. I became so addicted to them that I spend a lot of money just to play. I play computer games because I want to have fun. I want to forget my problems. I also want to meet new friends from other places. But what I got from these stuffs is nothing. I got nothing at all.

At first, I just really wanted to try playing those computer games but later on, my interest on it grew. I spent more time and money in playing those games rather than studying my lessons. I gave more time in playing these games with my friends. I didn’t have time anymore in doing household chores or any projects in school. I realized that being addicted in these stuffs was wrong. What I really want now is to change.

My only problem is that I can’t resist from playing those games. I really want to have fun. I really want to join with my friends. I want to play with them. I want to refresh my mind after those hard work, those exams, and all those I have done. I really keep thinking of playing computer games. I can’t stop thinking of it. Maybe I’m just heart-broken or whatever problems I have.

I should have posted this earlier. As what you have known, temptations come in our mind and force us to do things we don’t want to do. So sad to say, I’m just heart-broken. Let’s just go back to the topic.

Now, some of my friends stopped on playing computer games. And it helped them recover their grades. They’re just thinking of one thing, studying their lessons. Many of my friends keep on telling me to stop playing those games and they want me to excel in some subjects. But what I did, I didn’t listen to them. All I got from these stuffs are, low grades. But I promised myself not to get a failing grade. I’m very lucky that I didn’t have a failing grade.

Maybe right now, I should change. I should resist the temptation of playing computer games. I have to finish typing this because I want to play my games for the last time.

Best Game Ever

Online games are really fun right? You meet people from other cities, play with them and enjoy the moments. It's so nice to hang on with other friends. You enjoy playing online games, mostly Massive Multi-player Online Role Playing Game, in short MMORPG. These games are 3dimensional games that you happen to copy them attack monster or copy thier positions. Also you can enjoy these games because you are not just stuck in one room, but you are free to roam everywhere. FlyFF is one of those games. Have you ever tried flying in an online game? This is the only game with flying effect. By using a board or a broom, or even reindeers of Santa Clause, you can now fly wherever you want to go. It's so fun seeing your character fly around the sky of Madrigal.

Vagrant is the starting job class you will initially play when you join the world of FlyFF. It is the starting point of the game, and as a Vagrant you will primarily focus on learning how to play the game.You will start out with basic equipment, and learn basic fighting skills as you gain experience points through fighting monsters.You can change a job after attaining level 15. The job classes you will be able to change into after reaching level 15 are Mercenary, Magician, Acrobat and Assist. After which you may now learn skills that are exclusive to the job class you have chosen. It all depends on what you prefer; you may want to be in the thick of the action as a Mercenary, or maybe dishing out major damage from the back as a Magician, or supporting your friends with healing and buffing spells as an Assist or damaging enemies in long ranges as an Acrobat.

• As a Mercenary you'll be using close range weapons such as swords and axes to attack your enemies. You'll also be able to employ the use of a shield in order to reduce damage to yourself when you're attacked.When you reach level 60, you'll be able to change your job class to either a Knight or a Blade.
• As an Assist you can either use a cheer stick to perform buffing spells, or use knuckles to fight with your fists. You may also wear light armor.When you reach level 60, you'll be able to change your job class to either a Billposter or a Ringmaster.
• As a Magician you'll be using staffs and wands to cast magic spells.You will also have lower defense, lower HP, and a delay time in casting spells, but you will ultimately be casting massively damaging spells if you do it right. When you reach level 60, you'll be able to change your job class to either a Psykeeper or an Elementer.
• As an Acrobat you'll be using bows and yoyo to damage an enemy at a long range.Graceful and deadly, these sharpshooters concentrate on killing their enemies quickly and efficiently. When you reach level 60, you'll be able to change your job class to either a Ranger or a Jester.
